“If we can stay with the tension of opposites long enough —sustain it, be true to it—we can sometimes become vessels within which the divine opposites come together and give birth to a new reality.”
Marie-Louise von Franz
Hi, I’m Kayley.
Since childhood, my curiosity has driven me to delve deeply into a diverse range of eastern and western philosophies. As a result, I have developed an extensive scope to deliver a holistic approach to work with my clients. I am dedicated to my personal journey of individuation; I bring the same commitment to my clients. I find great enthusiasm in working with individuals who perceive a deeper layer beyond their symptoms.
I completed my Social Work training at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work in 2016, where I specialized in Health and Wellness. Over the past decade, my experiences have included working with children and teens, medical social work, and supporting adult individuals in their personal development journey. Through these experiences, I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of the mind-body connection and how it can impact an individual's physical, emotional, and social well-being, as well as that of the community. In my practice, I incorporate evidence-based practices, and depth psychology, which assist people in gently reworking their limiting beliefs. Additionally, I integrate mindfulness and body awareness techniques to help people attune to their inner landscape, fostering freedom, greater self-compassion and kindness.
As a trained social worker and a systemic thinker, I perceive that making progress in one aspect of an individual's life can have a ripple effect on other areas of their lives as well as society as a whole. In my view, it is essential to recognize the influence of power, privilege, and oppression and to confront them in order to heal personal and collective trauma.
Outside of my professional life, I love taking long walks in nature and feeling a deep connection with the diverse elements around me. Immersing myself in the environment captivates me and puts me at ease. I enjoy connecting with life and reflecting on its vastness and depth. I'm married and have two dogs—one neurotypical and one definitely neurodiverse. They're hilarious and bring me immense joy. When I'm not in session, I like exploring, collecting, thrifting, lounging around 'consciously doing nothing,' and truly embracing the simple joys of life with my beloved family.
Ultimately, I am enthusiastic about and dedicated to exploring topics relating to the human spirit and what drives us forward, especially the work of Dr. Carl G. Jung. One of the quotes that inspired my practice's name, Rekindle, is by Dr. Carl Jung:
“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”
Personal + Professional Belief
I believe that inner peace is created not by denying, rejecting, or supressing but by acknowledging and accepting each and every part of ourselves—Even the parts we're not so proud of.
